What's new
- Multi-image grid bubble — when a sender drops 2–9 photos/videos in a row they now collapse into one grid bubble. Tap any cell to open the full gallery; long-press (or right-click on desktop) for forward / reply / save / recall / credential. On by default, per-chat toggle in chat settings.
- Group nickname — set a per-group display name from Group Settings. Your own nickname now also appears above your own messages, so you see exactly what others see.
- Invite picker — real avatars instead of initials, tap an avatar to open that user's profile (useful when two friends share a nickname). A new toggle lets you re-invite a friend who's already in the group — handy after a mnemonic-only account recovery.
Privacy
- Prekey auto-rotation is now daily (previously weekly), tightening the "today's leaked key doesn't expose yesterday's messages" guarantee.
- Manual prekey rotation cooldown shortened to 1 hour and now sync-pushes to the server instead of waiting for the next 24h tick.
Reliability
- Fixed: real-time group messages on macOS. The three-column conversation switch could race the WS subscribe/unsubscribe and leave the newly-opened chat disconnected; you had to re-enter to see new messages.
- Fixed: "Registration time" on user profiles now shows the server's real registration date. Previously every user appeared to be registered "today".
- Fixed: photo bubbles (single + multi-image grid) now share one consistent max width.
- Image viewer: small images now fill the screen when tapped (previously stuck inside a tiny frame); double-tap to zoom to 2× centered on the tap point; pinch-to-zoom on mobile no longer gets hijacked by horizontal swipe.
- Fixed: PDF / documents / archives now open reliably on Android (the system sometimes couldn't pick an app to handle the file).
